In response to our Space and Military customer’s needs, NTS has added a hot/cold tensile testing chamber to its extensive list of capabilities in Anaheim, CA.
The new equipment achieves the integration of temperature extremes with stress and strain testing from -185°C up to 250°C range. Up to 30,000 lbs. of tensile, compression, and other stresses are applied between these temperatures.This testing is a valuable component in the evaluation of the integrity of materials and additive manufactured components for use in launch and space applications. There are a number of standards for which this testing is done, including ASTM D3039, ASTM E8, ASTM E21, plus any customer-defined requirements.Learn more about NTS Anaheim capabilities and contact us today!
