Element U.S. Space & Defense Passes CMMC Level 2 Assessment with a Perfect Score

Several years ago, Element U.S. Space & Defense made a commitment that went beyond regulatory compliance. It was a commitment to who we aspire to be as an organization. This week, that commitment was validated. Element U.S. Space & Defense successfully passed our CMMC Level 2 C3PAO assessment with a perfect score of 110/110.

While this certification is a significant achievement, what matters most is the journey behind it. CMMC Level 2 is not simply a requirement to satisfy—it is a culture to establish and sustain. Over the past several months, our teams demonstrated that mindset in action by stepping confidently into unfamiliar and complex territory, refining processes to be more disciplined, efficient, intentional, and shifting conversations from “What do we have to do?” to “What is the right way to do this?” Team members proactively identified and addressed challenges before they emerged.

At some point, the assessment itself ceased to be the objective. Excellence became the standard. Passing the C3PAO assessment affirms the rigor, transparency, and security‑first mindset our organization has been building for some time. It represents an important milestone— but also a foundation for continued advancement and higher expectations.
