NTS Silicon Valley Now 'One-Stop Shop' For Telecom Network Equipment Testing

The recent addition of fire and mixed flow gas testing at our Silicon Valley lab has established a full turnkey solution for our Telecom customer base selling into domestic and international telecommunication carriers (i.e. NEBS). These additions round out the full suite of testing capabilities to satisfy GR63 and related standards.The establishment of a fire room allows NTS-SV to address sections 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 of GR63 Issue 4, while the Mixed Flow Gas chamber covers section 4.5.2. The lab is online to address both indoor and outdoor equipment requirements for Mixed Flow Gas, allowing for complete testing of equipment being placed in the traditional telecom centre but also outside in remote cabinets, huts, towers and other applications.

Both these tests are part of the NTS ITL certification with Verizon and fall under its A2LA accreditation. We have 2 MFG chambers allocated for different size equipment accordingly. Both the MFG and Fire facilities are state of the art with remote monitoring capabilities and staffed with experienced hands on engineering resources to properly and efficiently execute testing objectives.In addition to satisfying GR63 NEBS requirements for sale into telecommunication carriers, these testing capabilities also give manufacturers the ability to evaluate any type of product to customized parameters to determine general product reliability.
