NTS Plano has recently announced the successful completion of their American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) audit and added wireless/radio testing, product safety evaluations and Energy Star testing capabilities.NTS Plano can now conduct power supply testing to qualify for Energy Star requirements, and also testing on various electronic, consumer and commercial products to provide data for the purpose of EPA Energy Star certification.
They continue to expand on wireless and product safety testing facilities and are now also accredited to provide testing services for the Energy Star program, a completely new capability. NTS Plano provides product safety services that create value for customers in two key ways: indirect cost savings and time to market. In essence, NTS acts like an extension of a customer’s compliance group.These new capabilities bring NTS Plano much closer to the goal of being the premier testing lab in the South Central United States. The Plano facility, which currently consists of 50,000 square feet of laboratory space plus a remote 44,000 square foot test site, also offers extensive EMC (electromagnetic capability) testing services with seven EMC and EMI chambers including a large 10-meter chamber and two 3-meter chambers, EMP (electromagnetic pulse) testing, capabilities for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) testing, indirect lightning testing, air flow measurement capabilities and a full suite of environmental and dynamics testing capabilities including 18 chambers and five shakers, among other capabilities and services.Energy Star is a voluntary U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) program to identify and promote energy-efficient products to reduce energy consumption, improve energy security and reduce pollution.The Plano facility is located at 1701 E.
